University of Tennessee's Neyland Stadium
Located in Knoxville, TN
A site preparation contract for site grading, storm sewer and water line. Grading operations took place after all turf was removed. The underlying asphalt was milled and recycled. A chevron design of under drains were installed over the entire playing field with trunk line around perimeter. An 8" water main was installed with six detachable nozzles for field irrigation. Fine grading was very controlled due to constant changing grades on playing field. The finished product was same as PGA greens with 1/8" tolerance. Developed by The University of Tennessee.
